Cyanweb have successfully recovered over 1TB of data from an External USB hard drive. The client came to us with an external usb drive that, when plugged in, Windows was saying that the drive needed to be formatted. There was a substantial amount of data on the drive which the client absolutely needed to recover.
The drive was assessed and it was determined that a file format corruption had put the drive back into RAW format instead of NTFS, making the files unreadable by Windows.
Using our specialised recovery software we were able to scan and recover all in-tact files on the drive for the client.
